US National Academy of Engineering publication The Bridge highlights Ecma TC26 noise standards

The summer issue of US National Academy of Engineering publication The Bridge (June, 2021) includes an article on voluntary national and international noise standards for products and machines. The article highlights Ecma TC26 standards on measuring information technology noise and shows how the Ecma noise standards are models for other product types. In discussing psychoacoustic standards for products, the article describes recently approved Ecma standards on psychoacoustics for prominent tones and tonality (ECMA-418-1, -2) and for roughness (ECMA-418-2).
